Homeless Beanies
I've wanted to get involved in a charitable project for a while now, to utilise my creative skills for a good purpose. I collaborated with a local homeless charity in Croydon called Percy's Homeless Hub, to create 25 knitted beanies to donate to those in need this cold winter. I used old unused yarn I've had for a while, to save buying new materials and be more conscious about waste. It was so rewarding working on such a positive project, where I knew I would be having a helpful impact on those who received a beanie, to keep them a little warmer during this cold British winter.

Crochet Striped Scarf
Social media can inspire you a lot, and that was certainly the case when I came across an Instagram post by creator @francescaperks, where she was accessorising with a long, colourful, stripey scarf and I knew I had to recreate it. Using some of my yarn ends from previous projects, I crocheted the long rectangular shape and kept going for a while, to establish an extremely oversized, floor-trailing scarf.

Crochet bags
Whilst working full time in retail, I needed a creative outlet to keep my imagination ticking along, so I dusted off my crochet skills from Lockdown and started experimenting with bags in varying shapes and sizes. I would be spotted crocheting the bags literally everywhere; on the bus, in the staff room, behind the till (oops).. It was so fun selling these online and sending off my first orders via the Post Office.

Valentine's bag drop : photoshoot
After becoming obsessed with crochet bags, I wanted to step it up a level and create a themed drop and obviously Valentine's is a good one for commerce. So I grabbed my bestie Zara, who is an expert in makeup, hair, styling, anything visual basically, and we teamed up to create this photoshoot! I baked and decorated the cutest cake, set up a low-budget backdrop and got to work! It's so fun creating things from scratch with your creative pals.
